Privacy Policy

Every calculation runs as JavaScript on your own device. The amount you enter, the result, and every setting you change are held in your browser and are not transmitted to us or to anyone else. We do not store, log or have any means of reading them.

Aggregated analytics about page visits, so we can see which calculators are useful and which pages are broken. That covers pages viewed, approximate region inferred from your IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and how long a page was open. It does not include anything you type into a calculator.

This is collected using Google Analytics 4, operated by Google LLC, which acts as our data processor. Google may store and process this data outside Australia, including in the United States. We have configured the property to send IP addresses in truncated form, and to disable Google Signals, ad personalisation and advertising data sharing, so the data is not used to build an advertising profile of you. We do not upload user IDs and we have no way to link a visit to a named person.

We collect nothing else. There is no account, no login, no newsletter, no contact form and no payment, so we hold no name, email address or payment detail unless you choose to email us.

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies, normally named _ga and _ga_<id>, to tell repeat visits from new ones. They expire after two years. Nothing on this site requires a cookie to work: every calculator runs with cookies fully blocked.

The site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It currently carries no advertising at all. If that changes, this page will be updated to name the network and what it sets before any ad is served, not afterwards.

Block cookies for this site in your browser, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Turning on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or using a content blocker, also stops the analytics script loading. Every calculator keeps working.

Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then deleted automatically. Under Australian Privacy Principle 12 you may ask what we hold about you and ask us to correct it, and under APP 13 to have it corrected. Because we collect no identifiers, in practice we can rarely isolate a single person’s data, and we will tell you that plainly rather than pretend otherwise.
